Juanita A Draime, RPh, PharmD
Juanita completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Cedarville University in 2016 before going on to complete a 2-year Health Outcomes Research Fellowship at Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. Draime practices at Rocking Horse Center Community Health Center in Springfield, OH and also works as a Pharmacist Consult for Profero Team, LLC. Juanita is passionate about moving the profession of pharmacy forward and training the next generation of pharmacist to practice at the top of their license.
Nathaniel J LUce, Rph, PharmD
Nathaniel is a 2016 graduate from Cedarville School of Pharmacy. He is presently managing an independent pharmacy in rural Ohio, and works as a Pharmacist Consultant for Profero Team, LLC. Prior to managing and consulting, he completed a PGY1 outpatient residency at an outpatient mental health facility in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a passion for advocating and advancing the
profession of pharmacy. As President-Elect of MVPA, Nathaniel hopes to promote real, positive, lasting change to the profession of pharmacy and healthcare in the greater Dayton area.
Kara M Lish, Rph, PharmD
Kara is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology and certificate of African American and Gender Experiences from Wright State University, she earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. While in graduate school, she interned at CVS for 4 years. Kara is from Bellaire, Ohio. She enjoys baking, cooking, running, and shopping. Kara also loves spending time with family and friends, especially her husband of two years and their fur baby, Rambo Tyson. Fun fact about Kara: she is creative and loves fashion! In fact, she actually designed her own wedding ring, dress, and veil, where the New York designer - Jovani, who made her dress - actually delivered it to her personally in Columbus! As VP of MVP, she hopes to be able to utilize her passion and creativity to engage other pharmacists to not only join the organization, but to be actively involved as well!
ANDREW STRAW, RPH, PHARMD, BCADM
Andrew completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Ohio Northern University in 2014 before going on to complete a PGY-1 community pharmacy residency at South Dakota State University. He is currently Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. Straw practices at Rocking Horse Center Community Health Center in Springfield, OH specializing in diabetes management. In the classroom, he coordinates the Self-Care course and the Respiratory Module, which are delivered with various active learning styles. He is passionate about leveraging various types of technology into both the pharmacy practice and academic setting.
Samantha A Yates, PharmD
Samantha recently earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Cedarville University. While working towards her degree, she had an active role in APhA-ASP as a Generation Rx co-chair. Currently, Dr. Yates is completing a residency at Western Medicine Family Physicians, a private family medicine office, in Enon, Ohio. She works actively with the practice’s chronic care management and transitional care management programs. Dr. Yates hopes to utilize her training to expand clinical pharmacy services to rural areas of Ohio.
Paul B Srnis, Rph, PharmD, Mba
Paul moved to the Miami Valley in 2011 to attend pharmacy school at Cedarville University where he earned his PharmD/ MBA degree. Throughout school, he interned with Rite Aid in Dayton. After graduating, he became a Pharmacy Manager for Rite Aid where his main focuses were medication adherence, medication therapy management, and vaccinations. He is currently a District Leader for Rite Aid in North Central Ohio where he manages both the front end and pharmacy business for 16 stores. He is passionate about immunizations, medication therapy management, point-of-care testing, embracing changes in community pharmacy, and leading a multi-unit team.
